Wallington Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church is part of the world church of Seventh-day Adventists
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a protestant, Christian denomination which grew out of the world-wide religious revival in the mid-nineteenth century. The name Seventh-day Adventist includes vital beliefs for us as a Church. ‘Adventist’ reflects our passionate conviction in the nearness of the soon return (‘advent’) of Jesus. ‘Seventh-day’ refers to the Biblical Sabbath which from Creation has always been the seventh day of the week, or Saturday.
The world we live in is all about connection and engagement, be it through social media, dating websites and tv streaming services. Sadly though, despite the many ways we can connect, we often find we are lonelier than ever. At Wallington church we are a community of believers who have a strong desire to connect, not just superficially, but with purpose. We believe that God is relevant in today’s world, that Jesus’ message is powerful. We believe Jesus was system toppling and people empowering. He healed the sick, raised the dead, opposed the proud and turned culture on its head. He remembered the poor, visited the sick and imprisoned and fed the hungry. We believe in following that example. We are family oriented and love to come together for discussions and good food! We believe Gods message is relevant to all of us in this world today, for both young and old and strive to teach and live this. We believe worship is not just gathering in a building weekly, but actively celebrating and living the sacrifice of Jesus everyday. So if you love to chat, eat good food and want to learn more about God and His message for you and the world today, come and pay us a visit!
